Clay County: Salvation Army Holiday Food Basket and Toy Program: 304 Robert St., Fargo 701-232-5565. Must bring proof of income, phone or light bill with current address for food basket. Toys provided to children 0 - 16. Social security card, birth certificate or medical card required. Call for more info.
Douglas County: Alexandria Jaycees Jingle Bells: Request a basket by phone at 320-763-6665 from 8 AM - noon and 1 - 5 PM on Nov. 17th - 21st, Nov. 24th - 28th, Dec. 1st - 5th and Dec. 8th - 10th. If questions, please call at 320-834-3030.
Grant County: Toys for Tots - deadline is Nov. 30th. Call 218-685-4417.
Hubbard County: Caring and Sharing program through MAHUBE for children 16 and under. Call 218-732-7204 before noon on Nov. 19th with children's names. There will be gifts and food baskets. You will be responsible for picking up the gifts and food baskets. The Eagles Club in Park Rapids will also be doing Toys for Tots.
Mahnomen County: Toys for Tots program through Mahnomen Community Council. Must be a tribal member or descendant. Call 218-936-3660 by Nov. 28th to sign up children. For those who are not tribal members call 218-935-9319 for a Toys for Tots application. Deadline is Dec. 5th.
OtterTail County: Toys for Tots in Fergus Falls -deadline is Dec. 12th. Call 218-739-9692. Toy Shop is open Dec. 17th from 10 AM - 7 PM. Perham's Giving Tree - deadline is Dec. 12th. Ghost Runner has applications at 745 W. Main or call 218-346-2650.

Time to Think About Winter Coats
Winter is just around the corner so it is not too early to start planning for winter.
Detroit Lakes, Hawley, Mahnomen, Moorhead - Fargo Salvation Army has a "Coats & Kids" program. For an application call 701-232-5565. Upon approval, you will receive a voucher to be used at one of the Salvation Army stores.
Hubbard County - Barely Used Thrift Store in Park Rapids will be giving away winter coats.
OtterTail County - Salvation Army, 622 E. Vernon Avenue, Fergus Falls, MN. has coats starting the first week in October. Just stop in and pick what you need. Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Stevens County - Salvation Army, 623 E. 7th Street, Morris, MN has coats. Call Social Services at 320-589-7400 and get a voucher from Janet.

Free Children's Check-Ups
Douglas County Public Health is providing free check-ups for children birth to pre-kindergarten in Douglas County for those without insurance or whose insurance does not pay for well-child care. For an appointment or more information, call 320-763-6062 (Patty) or 320-763-3064 (Sue).
Homestretch Class
OtterTail Wadena Community Action is offering a Homestretch Class on Nov. 18th and 20th 5:30 - 9:30 PM at 125 W.Lincoln St., Fergus Falls. Learn about available funding, qualifying for a mortgage, shopping for a home, the closing process and life as a homeowner.

Car Seat Clinics
Certified child passenger safety technicians are available to inspect car seats and provide tips on proper installation and use. These are available:
Detroit Lakes: This is on-going. To arrange call Jennifer Booge at 1-800-818-9296. Baby Bin Available in Perham
This program helps Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) families by providing a free package of diapers one month and the following month a free package of baby wipes, baby wash and baby lotion. The program is open the first Tuesday of each month from 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM at Perham Community Church, 44664 440th Street, Perham.
Dental Outreach Clinics
Dental outreach clinics are designed to provide dental services to children between the ages of 2 and 12 years of age. Dental health staff are available to provide all dental services for children covered by Minnesota Health Care Programs. Appointments can be made by calling toll free 888-683-1038 Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:00. Upcoming clinics are:
